Anniversary of the Detachment for Special Operations of the 5th Corps of ARBiH marked

12980378_1150372805013674_366464264_nThe 24th anniversary of the establishment of the Detachment for Special Operations of the 5th Corps of the Army of Republic of BiH (ARBiH) was marked yesterday in Cazin. This unit gave an enormous contribution to the defense of this part of BiH from aggression.

“Our anniversaries have always been just another opportunity to meet and recall the decisive moments for our homeland. These are the fighters that never left the front of defense and that makes us immensely proud,” stated the war commandant of the Department for Special Operations Senad Šarganović-Šargan.

After joint laying of flowers at the Centrral memorial to the martyrs and killed fighters, members of the “Šargan’s Detachment” were hosted by the Mayor of Cazin Municipality, Nermin Ogrešević, MSc.

“Department for Special Operations certainly meant a lot, but it also had its additional role through especially shown courage and strength of fighters,” said the Mayor Ogrešević and congratulated the members of the Department for Special Operations.

Department for Special Operations of the 5th Corps of the ARBiH was consisted of fighters who voluntarily became members of this formation in order to defend their homeland from aggression. A large number of members of this Department are honored with highest war honors, and numerous people of Cazin played a significant role in this Department.
