Members of the Association of anti-fascists and fighters of of the People’s Liberation War (UABNOR) Konjic yesterdaymarked the 78th anniversary of the liberation of their city from fascism in the Second World War with an appropriate tribute to the heroes of the defense of Konjic and a visit to the memorial in that city.

As part of the solemn commemoration of the historic day when Konjic was liberated, anti-fascists paid their respects and laid flowers on the partisan monument in the city, the memorial ossuary for the martyred Roma in Podorasac, the bust of the national hero Maksim Kujundzic near the House of Culture and visited all the martyr’s cemeteries in Konjic.

They said that this is a great day in the history of Konjic and Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), but also a permanent obligation to remember and mark it with dignity.

Individuals who sent congratulations to their city and UABNOR Konjic with marking signs showed that the birthday of their beloved city cannot be forgotten.

Congratulations on the day of the liberation of Konjic were sent by those who inherit the anti-fascist idea with appropriate photos in other localities along with traditional symbols, and congratulated their city and UABNOR Konjic on their birthday.

Thus, the birthday card of the beloved city included photos of the anti-fascists of Konjic on the top of Ormanj with unfurled flags at 1,144 meters above Pazaric, on the Hajducke vrleti of the Cvrsnica mountain, and on the 1,842-meter Visin peak of the Prenj mountain, Klix.ba reports.
