Antony Blinken: The U.S. remains firmly committed to the Future of BiH

United States (U.S.) Secretary of State, Antony Blinken sent a message to Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) yesterday via his Twitter account.

He primarily referred to yesterday‘s donation of vaccines that arrived in Sarajevo from the U.S. But then he told that the U.S.remains committed to the future of BiH.

“We have just handed over a bilateral donation of 96.000 doses of Moderna vaccine against coronavirus to the citizens of BiH. The U.S. continues to work to end the pandemic and remains firmly committed to the future of BiH,” Blinken wrote.

This message is extremely important at a time when BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik is conducting an unprecedented anti-constitutional campaign aimed at weakening and disintegrating BiH.

The U.S. recently renewed sanctions against Dodik and blacklisted Alternative Television because of its ties to Dodik. The list of sanctioned persons from BiH is expected to be expanded in the following days.

In addition, the European Union (EU) on Monday for the first time openly threatened sanctions against officials from Republika Srpska (RS) working against the state and all its citizens.
