The company ArcelorMittal Zenica started with a capital overhaul of a blast furnace plant, which will last until mid-June this year.

This is an investment in the total amount of 60 million BAM, of which 50 million BAM refers to the overhaul of the blast furnace, and 10 million BAM will be spent on overhaul works in the plants of Energetika, Aglomeracija, Celicana and Valjaonica.

This project will enable smooth work of the blast furnace for another 15-20 years, with which will be ensured sustainable production of steel in ArcelorMittal Zenica in the aforementioned period.

The main contractor of this very demanding project is the Dutch company Danieli Corus, which is one of the world’s leading companies for this type of works.

Around 1,000 additional employees will be hired on this project, out of which around 650 workers from different BH companies and the rest of them will be experts from other countries.
