The Archive of Public Gatherings, an organization that counts participants at public events, announced that, according to initial estimates, about 140.000 citizens gathered at Slavija two days ago.

“Preliminary estimate of the Archive of Public Gatherings: At yesterday’s protest at Slavija, organized by students on strike, around 140.000 people were present during the commemorative silence. The final estimate may vary by up to 10 percent,” the Archive announced yesterday on the social network X.

It should be recalled that the Archive estimated that at the last large protest, held in March, there were between 275.000 and 325.000 people.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia stated that, according to the police estimate, around 36.000 people were present at the Vidovdan protest at Slavija. The Ministry states that this was an unreported gathering and that the number of attendees was similar to that at the event organized by the same organizers on December 22nd last year.
