By order of the Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, members of the 1st Infantry Battalion of the 4th Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina were engaged in the delivery of drinking water for wild horses on the Kruzi plateau, in the area of Livno.
For the implementation of this task, a water tanker of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina was engaged, which enabled a regular supply of drinking water to wild horses, especially endangered due to unfavorable weather conditions, announced the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Wild horses in the area of Livno represent one of the recognizable natural treasures of our country and a valuable part of its natural heritage. Preservation of these horses and taking care of their needs represent a joint responsibility and an important contribution to the protection of nature and the preservation of this unique symbol of the Livno region.
This humanitarian engagement is another example of the determination of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina to, within the framework of their legal competences and available capacities, provide assistance and protect the natural values of Bosnia and Herzegovina, according to the statement.
