The international exercise “Combined Resolve XV”, which was attended by 4.500 members from 10 countries, including 35 members of the Armed Forces (AF) of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), was realized from February 4th to March 5th, 2021 in Hohenfels, Federal Republic of Germany.
This exercise, which is attended by representatives of other countries, is a regular annual activity of the AF of the United States of America (USA) in Europe through which the training of units is tested.
With this combination of forces on such a large scale which demonstrates interoperability and encourages regional stability, is possible to improve relations between allied and partner armies.
The exercise is an extensive endeavor in which the soldiers set up their areas of operation on a 40.000-hectare range in the mountainous and hilly terrain of the southern region of Germany.
Its goal was to assess the ability to conduct joint operations of the Armed Forces of the USA and its partner countries in a multinational area.
Members of the AFBiH were part of the Opposing Force (OPFOR) battalion of the Joint Multinational Readiness Center at the Hohenfels base.
Apart from BiH, Georgia, Italy, Kosovo, Lithuania, Northern Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, and the USA also participated in this exercise.
