Thirty-five people were killed and 43 injured when a man drove his car into a group of people outside a sports center in the southern Chinese city of Zhuhai, state broadcaster CCTV reported.
Police said the 62-year-old driver had been arrested.
“Most of the injured have been taken to hospital and their lives are not in danger,” the statement said.
