dejan mileusnićDejan Mileusnić, 22 year old athlete from Zenica who started this year by setting new state records in javelin throwing, reports klix.ba

At the last competition which was held in Sremska Mitrovica he broke his own personal record throwing the javelin at 79,62 metres, but a lot of effort was put into that result.

He said in an interview to klix.ba that he comes from a family that is very sport-oriented and that in his beginnings he trained many disciplines. He noted that he has the support of his family.

From March last year till this day, Mileusnić broke six state records and won numerous medals, among them the gold medal at the Balkan competition and the bronze medal at the European Winter Javelin Throwing Cup which was held in Spain.

After six records, Mileusnić hopes for the new record in Zenica, where the Winter Javelin Throwing Championship will be held on 13 April which could give the right amount of points to qualify to World Championship in Moscow which will be held in August.

The norm for World Championship is 81 m and the best score of Mileusnić is 79,62 m which is pretty close. After Zenica, he’ll compete at the Mediterranean Gams in Turkey, then at the European Championship in Finland and at many other athletic meetings in Europe.
