Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić assessed today that after yesterday’s explosion on the Ibar-Lepenc canal near Zubin Potok in northern Kosovo, “an attempt at a large and fierce hybrid attack on Serbia occurred”.
Vučić told reporters at the Serbian Presidency that they had been carefully following what was being said by Pristina officials and “their international sponsors and those they pay well to represent their politics and media”.
“We were not able to hear many facts”, he said.
Vučić said that Serbia has certain doubts about who committed the act, that it is conducting its own investigation, but that it will not inform the public until it is completed, according to Beta news agency.
As he said, Serbia was fair and serious and did not deal with the accusations nor did it directly accuse Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti of the attack.
“In the first wave, they (Pristina) immediately accused Belgrade and Serbia of being behind it. Belgrade and Serbia had no idea about it and no one needs to worry, there is no such thing, because you cannot prove something that does not exist,” Vučić said.
