Fourteen-year-old virtuoso from Bijeljina, Đorđe Perić, achieved absolute victory in the under-18 category at the World Accordion Trophy competition held in the French city of Montargis, announced the “Kornelije Stanković” Music School in Bijeljina.
Perić won in the “Junior Variety” category.
With his performance, he impressed the expert jury, won the sympathy of the audience, and also confirmed that he is one of the most promising young accordionists of today.
“This extraordinary success brought him the prestigious title of world champion, once again confirming his incomparable talent and dedication to music,” the Elementary School stated.
Đorđe Perić is a student of the “Kornelije Stanković” Music School, where he is improving his skills under the watchful eye of his father, Professor Slaviša Perić.
His technique, musicality and innovative approach to interpretation make him a true ambassador of this instrument.
The World Accordion Trophy, in its 74th year, is one of the most important and prestigious competitions in the world of accordion, and brings together the most talented musicians from around the world.
