A severe storm and heavy rain have struck parts of the Gaza Strip, leaving thousands of displaced Palestinians without the tents they had been living in after being forced from their homes by Israeli attacks.
One resident of this improvised settlement, Abd Al Hadi Abu Ammra, stated that his tent was completely destroyed by the storm.
According to him, this location is no longer suitable for living. He added that many people who lived there are now homeless, as the water swept away their tents, belongings, water supplies, and food.
Another resident in Khan Younis reported that during the night, the sea swept away children, and everyone witnessed the incident.
During Israel’s war against Hamas, over 40.000 people were killed in the Gaza Strip, primarily women and children.
In recent months, food, medicine, and hygiene supplies have become increasingly difficult to deliver to displaced Palestinians. In the southern part of Gaza, Palestinians wait in long lines for hours to receive a meal at humanitarian kitchens.
