Play of Sarajevo War Theatre ‘It was a beautiful sunny day’ directed by Tanja Miletić-Oručević received a huge applaud by Belgrade audience who had the opportunity to see the play in Yugoslav Drama Theatre as a part of festival ‘Days of Sarajevo in Belgrade 2013’.
‘It was a beautiful sunny day’ is a documentary play based on the recollections of memories of 78 citizens of Sarajevo on the same date of the 2nd May, 1992. The drama was inspired by the book called ‘2nd May- It was a beautiful sunny day’, that was published for the first time in 2008.The book is actually a collection of stories, inscriptions and photos that were inspired by just one day of the siege, that is considered as the first day of the 1395 days of the Sarajevo siege.
The roles in this play are played by Sonja Goronja, Mirela Lambić, Ana Mia Milić, Maja Salkić, Amila Terzimehić, Benjamin Bajramović, Adnan Kreso, Sead Pandur and Jasenko Pašić.
Director of the play said to Fena that the reaction of the audience was great, and actors received a huge applaud, and added that the audience was very interested about the story of the play.
Festival Days of Sarajevo in Belgrade was opened last night with the promotion of the book ‘Childhood in War’ and by opening the exhibition of Jasminko Halilović.
