Austrian Minister of Justice visits the Constitutional Court of BiH

As part of her official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Alma Zadić, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Austria, together with Georg Diwald, Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Bosnia and Herzegovina, visited the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina today.

The visiting Austrian delegation was received by the vice-president of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina Valerija Galić and the judge of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mirsad Ćeman with their associates.

Vice President Galić and Judge Ćeman presented the Austrian delegation with facts about the constitutional position, organization and functioning of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the current circumstances.

Minister Zadić emphasized the importance of the role of the Constitutional Court of BiH, especially in the segment of protection of basic human rights. She pointed out the importance of the decisions of the Constitutional Court in the legal system of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the importance of their implementation.

She also pointed out that the Government of the Republic of Austria is fully committed to providing full support to the future work of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina. She welcomed the bilateral cooperation that the Constitutional Court of BiH has with the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Austria, the Constitutional Court of BiH announced.
