Fifteen-year-old Islam Kalilov, who saved more than 100 people during the terrorist attack on the Crocus City Hall concert hall in Moscow, the capital of Russia, received an award for courage.

At the ceremony, the Russian Commissioner for Children’s Rights, Maria Lvova-Belova, awarded 15-year-old Kalilov, who helped evacuate those present during the terrorist attack.

He was awarded a “Certificate for commitment, bravery and personal courage in helping victims”.

Another young man who helped in the evacuation, 14-year-old Artyom Donskov, was also awarded the same award.

On the other hand, Ravil Gajnutdin, president of the Religious Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation and the Council of Muftis of Russia, announced that he will award the heroic Kalilov with the “Medal for Service” of Russian Muslims for courage and saving the people.

It was announced that the order will be presented at the Friday prayer on March 29 in the Central Mosque in Moscow.

Kalilov, a boy who worked part-time in the dressing room at the Crocus City Hall concert hall, took control directing more than 100 people to the correct evacuation corridor when terrorists launched an armed attack on the concert hall on the evening of March 22, allowing people to leave the building and get to a safe place.

A video recorded by Kalilov with his mobile phone about the moments when he evacuated was published on social networks.

A terrorist attack was carried out by armed men in a concert hall in Moscow on the evening of March 22.
