milan_bandicSarajevo City Council adopted  the decision on the revocation of the award “Honorary citizen of Sarajevo city” for the Mayor of Zagreb Milan Bandić at today’s session.

The Mayor of Sarajevo Ivo Komšić submitted the initiative for the review of the decision on proclaiming the Mayor of Zagreb Milan Bandic honorary citizen of Sarajevo city to the City Council. This initiative is launched by the Mayor Komšić and his Deputies Aljoša Čampara and Ranko Čović due to the inappropriate statement of the Mayor of Zagreb on the internal rearrangement of B&H.

“The statement of Milan Bandić for Al Jazeera Balkans on 10 March is considered as a blow to democratic processes in these areas. We are very concerned regarding these inappropriate statements due to the friendly relations between Sarajevo and Zagreb, and especially with Milan Bandić that in his statements deals with entities and internal rearrangement of B&H and constitutional changes of B&H”, according to the explanation for the revocation initiative on the Bandić award.
