Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has said Iran will “never give in to the Zionists”, in a series of posts on the X social network.
“We will have no mercy on the Zionists,” reads the translation of one of the posts. Another reads: “The battle begins.”
These are Khamenei’s first public statements after current US President Donald Trump said the US knows where the Iranian leader is, but “will not kill him… at least for now”.
Earlier this week it was reported that Trump had vetoed an Israeli plan to kill Khamenei.
