Russian nationalist politician and leader of the Russian All-People’s Alliance (ROS) party, Sergej Baburin, congratulated the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik and its citizens on January 9, which is celebrated as the Day of the RS, even though the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina declared it unconstitutional.
“I will also express my rebellious dream: I want the Republika Srpska and the Russian Federation, together with countries close to us, in the name of protecting our spiritual and cultural identity, to unite in a single state community! God willing!”, said Baburin.
He said “that the Serbs in BiH and Serbian Krajina were the first victims of the West, which destroyed the unity of the southern Slavs at the end of the 20th century.”
“But the Serbs once again heroically proved to the whole of indifferent and tolerant Europe that they are capable and intend to preserve their Orthodox faith and civilizational identity. With weapons in hand, you proved your right to a decent life in your homeland by creating the Republic of Serbia,” Baburin pointed out.
He believes “that today the West is again trying to turn the Orthodox Serbs into resigned and weak-willed Europeans, but that he is convinced that the RS, whose strong brotherhood with Russia and President Vladimir Putin is proud of, will withstand new challenges.”
“The Russian people and Russian society are grateful to you for brotherhood and solidarity, for the uncompromising struggle for truth and traditional spiritual and moral values,” said Baburin.
He pointed out that the President of the RS, Milorad Dodik, kept an open heart and soul in his relations with Russia.
“That’s why we perceive him as a friend, comrade, as a person for whom the Orthodox faith is not a phrase, but a state of mind,” said Baburin and added that Dodik personifies Slavic spiritual integrity.
Baburin believes that Dodik is completely right when he protests against the foreign administration in BiH embodied in the high representative in BiH.
“This kind of European meddling only splits the Dayton order and destroys the fragile stability of the Balkans,” said Baburin, who is also the head of the International Slavic Council.
Baburin said that Europeans should not undermine Milorad Dodik’s authority “but must pray for him”, reports “Ruska Gazeta”.
“Without him, BiH would have fallen into chaos a long time ago. All prosecutions of this bright and principled Serbian politician are ridiculous, illegal and counterproductive,” said Baburin, Srna news agency writes.
