(ANADOLU AJANSI-SAMIR YORDAMOVIC) (20120531)At the yesterday’s session, the House of Peoples of the FB&H adopted the Labour law, and now the Law should be found on agenda of the session of the House of Representatives of FB&H.

During his stay in Zenica, the Member of the Presidency of B&H and SDA Party President, Bakir Izetbegović, expressed his view on the future implementation of the new Labour Law.

”B&H is the only European country that has not adopted the law yet, which means more elastic position for employers, since it will allow them to hire people more and more quickly. On the other hand, we have a lot of pressure from the lawsuits from collective agreements, that bring millions of BAM of pressure on the budget which is accumulating each month for 50 million BAM more and we need to stop this thing. That means stopping the pressure on the budget, which could result in no pension benefits, no disability allowance, no money for many other things and now these two things are solved, ” said Izetbegović.

According to him, this law is not perfect and he is very sorry that they did not managed to reach an agreement with the unions, however, the talks will continue, since the agreements to correct and amend some things in the law will be offered.

” This law is the part of the reform agenda, and it is maybe even the most painful and the most demanding legislation within the agenda. It was adopted with courage and I am convinced that the time will show that we did the right thing,” said Bakir Izetbegović.
