Emir Hadzic, a refugee from BiH and a US Marine, received a letter from the President of the USA, Barack Obama.
Last year Hadzic sent a letter to the President of the United States, in which he thanked to Obama and the American society for accepting him as a refugee and helping him to start a new life.
In September last year, his was published by the White House, and then came in the written reply from Barack Obama himself.
Dear Emir, your letter reached my desk, and I wanted to thank you for your tremendous service.
Your passion for protecting our country and pursuing peace throughout the international community came through in every word and your story represents the very best of the American spirit.
I appreciate your sharing it, and I was touched by your kind words for my family and me. It is a great honor to serve as a President and Commander in Chief, but I believe that more than my being in Office, it’s the courage and compassion of dedicated service members like you that will help move our country and the world toward a brighter, more peaceful tomorrow.
Again, thank you for writing to me. As you return to home in St.Lous, I wish you all the best for the adventures ahead.
