Bosnian tennis player Mirza Bašić advanced to the quarterfinals of the ATP Challenger tournament in Turkish city of Batman.
In the second round of the 42 500 EUR worth tournament, Bašić won against the sixth holder, Belgian Niels Desein (160th player on the ATP list) with 7: 6 (4), 6:4.
In the match for the performance in the semifinals, Bašić (203 ATP) will play against second holder Dudi Sela from Israel (112 ATP) on Thursday.
