The Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, held talks in Baku with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and on that occasion it was emphasized that the bilateral relations between the two countries are traditionally good and friendly, which represents the basis for further strengthening economic and other types of cooperation.
They emphasized that the opening of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Bosnia and Herzegovina also contributes to the improvement of interstate relations.
Also, the Decision of the Presidency of BiH on the opening of the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Republic of Azerbaijan emphasizes the readiness of Bosnia and Herzegovina to improve diplomatic presence and deepen cooperation, as noted during the meeting.
The interlocutors expressed their readiness for Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Azerbaijan to continue strengthening interstate ties through concrete projects.
Bećirović pointed out the importance of faster harmonization of agreements that are in the procedure, which should contribute to better quality cooperation, Bećirović’s Cabinet announced.
