Chairman of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović spoke with the delegation of the Association of Generals of BiH, which consisted of the Association’s president Vahid Karavelić, members of the Board of Directors Rizvo Pleh, Mustafa Polutak, Enes Husejnović and Džemal Merdan, and the secretary of the Association’s Assembly Sadik Klinić.
During the open and meaningful conversation, opinions and views were exchanged on the current political and security situation and the need for continuous strengthening of the state institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The significance of the responsible and coordinated action of the competent state authorities to preserve peace, security and stability was particularly pointed out.
Representatives of the Association of Generals of BiH informed Bećirović about the Association’s current activities and plans for the next period, stressing the importance of continued cooperation between the Association and the Chairman of the BiH Presidency. They expressed their gratitude and recognized Bećirović for his consistent and responsible actions in the protection of state interests, especially emphasizing his commitment to preserving the constitutional order, strengthening state institutions, and promoting peace, security and the Euro-Atlantic perspective of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Bećirović pointed out the permanent historical significance of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the defense of the state, its citizens, independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity. He stressed the importance of nurturing the culture of memory, protecting historical facts and preserving the values on which the independent and sovereign Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina was defended.
The Chairman of the BiH Presidency pointed out that Euro-Atlantic integration is one of the key preconditions for long-term peace, security and prosperity of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the entire region.
At the end of the meeting, Bećirović thanked the representatives of the Association of Generals of BiH for their previous engagement and contribution to the preservation and affirmation of state values, peace and freedom, announced the Cabinet of the Chairman of the BiH Presidency, Denis Bećirović.
