Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Bećirović hosted newly appointed Ambassador of Ukraine to BiH, Volodymyr Bachynsky, on his inaugural visit. Bećirović congratulated him on assuming the role of Ukraine’s first resident ambassador in the country, noting that this marks an important step toward strengthening political and diplomatic ties between the two friendly nations.

Bećirović reaffirmed Bosnia and Herzegovina’s unwavering support for Ukraine’s independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity. He underlined that BiH’s foreign policy is firmly grounded in the principles of international law and the UN Charter.

He also recalled BiH’s active involvement in international efforts supporting Ukraine, including his visit to Kyiv, participation in the Crimea Platform, the International Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine, and the recent Paris Peace Forum panel “Ending the War in Ukraine: Building Pathways to Peace and Recovery.”

Bećirović stressed the need to continue deepening cooperation and partnership between the two countries. Ambassador Bachynsky expressed his commitment to advancing bilateral relations and extended sincere gratitude for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s consistent support for Ukraine.
