Benicio del Toro, the winner of the award Honorary Heart of Sarajevo and an actor who played the leading role in the movie The Perfect Day which was screened last night at the National Theatre in Sarajevo, walked down the red carpet and thereby pointed out how honored he was to be in Sarajevo last night.
“Everything here is really beautiful, I just arrived but I am very happy to be here and very excited, also”, said Del Toro.
Del Toro pointed out that he considers himself really privileged by the award that he received last night.
“I am privileged and honored by such an award and the fact that I was recognized by one festival such as the Sarajevo Film Festival”, Benicio said.
Del Toro added that he hopes that people will enjoy the film The Perfect Day and that they will appreciate the story.
The Academy Award winner was smiling and was in a very good mood, and he responded to the journalists’ questions and posed before the cameras.
Benicio Del Toro presented the drama by Fernand Leon de Aranoa The Perfect Day to the Sarajevo audience last night, within the HT Eronet Open Air program. In that film, Del Toro played the leading role.
The film The Perfect Day was screened at 8:30 p.m. in the largest festival cinema within the Open Air program, where the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo was awarded to Del Toro in front of 3.000 film lovers.
