vjekoslav_bevanda-01Chairman of the BiH Council of Ministers Vjekoslav Bevanda is at a meeting in Brussels today with representatives of the EU and Croatia, where he will sign on behalf of BiH an agreement on border crossings and an agreement on border transport between BiH and Croatia.

The reason for the signing of the documents is the entry of Croatia in the EU on 1 July of this year.

The BiH Presidency brought a decision at yesterday’s special session on the acceptance of an agreement between BiH and Croatia on border crossings and the agreement between BiH and Croatia on border transport between BiH and Croatia and authorized Bevanda to sign these agreements.

The BiH Minister of Foreign Affairs Zlatko Lagumdžija and the Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusić will sign today in Brussels a joint statement on free transit through the territory of Croatia.

Lagumdžija and Pusić will sign a joint statement and interpretation and application of Article 11 of the agreement on free trade through Croatia and from and to the port of Ploče through BiH and Neum.

The signing of the joint declaration precedes the ceremony of handing decisions on the derogation of the acquis and introductory remarks of the European Commissioner for Enlargement Stefan Fule, announced the BIH Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
