B&H Council of Ministers Determined Amendments to Labor Law in B&H Institutions

The B&H Council of Ministers established at the meeting in Sarajevo, with a majority vote, the draft law to amendments to the Labor Law in B&H institutions in order to improve existing procedures and to overcome certain ambiguities in the application of the current law.

It gives right for one parent of a child with severe disabilities for shorter work hours.

At the same time, provisions were specified that will not apply to the regulation of the legal status of employees in organizations and foundations registered at the state level due to the specifics of their business activities.

Also, a new definition for interns was given, and it allows trainees and volunteers to gain the conditions in court for the bar exam.

With the amendments to the law, among other things, an obligation of the employer was stipulated to keep a book of records of employees and personnel records, and to tighten penalties for employers who violate the Labor Law.
