BH Citizens in the Hell of Gaza: People in the MFA and Embassies will also be responsible for our Deaths

More than ten BiH citizens and their relatives are located in the Gaza Strip, more precisely near the Rafah border crossing. This area, in addition to being unlivable, is a target of military activities.

Among the non-evacuees of BiH is the Hagag family. Son of BH citizen Munira Hagag is currently in Italy. He says he is losing hope that his loved ones will leave the Gaza Strip and cross to safety.

“The situation in which my family lives could not be more difficult. We waited for help from the institutions, but nothing… they just told us that they were working on it, gave us promises that they would manage to evacuate them and told us to be patient. In the end what we have as information is that they feel they can’t do anything for my family. My family has lost hope and now they can’t do anything, except wait for death…” Abdurahman Hagag told N1.

He explains that he tried to communicate with the BiH embassy in Qatar, but that he did not receive any answers from any of the parties involved in the process.

“No one helped us, my people feel like hostages there. I’m tired of calling the authorities every day and empty promises. I’m just hearing that I should wait. I was in a state of shock when I heard they dropped my family’s case. If something happens to my family, the people in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in the embassies in Egypt and Israel will be responsible for their death,” said the agitated son of BiH citizen.

Most of the non-evacuated BiH citizens and their relatives are children and women. The BiH embassies in Cairo and Qatar say that they are doing everything they can to continue the evacuation process, but that at the moment there is no indication when that will happen.
