ado_hasanovicYoung B&H director Ado Hasanović, who was born in Srebrenica, is one of the three foreigners who were admitted to the prestigious Academy Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia (CSC) in Rome.

This is a film school with high standards for enrollment and with a high number of applicants, but this was not an obstacle for Hasanović in the fulfillment of his desire to study directing in Italy, reports Fena.

In an interview for Fena, he said that during his studies at the Sarajevo Film Academy, he heard about the school Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografija, and he wanted to continue his studies there.

‘’Before enrolling, I spoke with many friends from Italy and &H who told me that I would not be accepted, because there are many applicants and the criteria for enrollment at CSC are high. They were not able to change my opinion; I was an optimist’’, said this young B&H director.

He explains that the rules for admission to this program is such what needs to be sent, among other things, is a filmography, ten minute film, film synopsis, and all this in Italian. When he applied to this program at the end of July 2013, there were many students. In November 2013, a list of 38 students was published, where Hasanović was selected for the oral/written test, and he passed the exam on 13 December 2013.

‘’I am happy that I passed the exam in Italian language, which I learned in B&H, because I have never lived in Italy’’, said Hasanović. He said that the studies would last for three years.

This young director completed Sarajevo Film Academy (SFA) in the department of directing in the class of Nenad Dizdarević. He graduated with his short film ‘Mama’, which was shown at the 19th Sarajevo Film Festival.
