BiH and China signed the Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Animal Health and Quarantine

The Agreement between the Government of the Republic of China and the Council of Ministers BiH on co-operation in the field of animal health and quarantine was signed yesterday in Sofia, in the presence of the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Denis Zvizdic, and Prime Minister of the Republic of China, Li Keqiang. This agreement was signed on the margins of the 7th Summit of 16 prime ministers of Central and Eastern Europe with Prime Minister of the Republic of China (16 + 1).

The agreement was signed by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of China, Han Changfu, and the Deputy Chairman and Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, Mirko Sarovic.

With the agreement was stipulated that the parties agree on the concept of “One World, One Health” and  mechanisms on co-operation in the field of cross-border animal disease control. With this agreement, BiH and China agree to facilitate cooperation in the field of administration, science and technology and to exchange information on trade with animals and products with animal origin.

The relevant bodies for the implementation of this agreement are the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the General Customs Administration of the People’s Republic of China and the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations and the Veterinary Office of BiH.
