China is willing to work with Bosnia and Herzegovina to seize the opportunity to deepen and broaden China-BiH cooperation within the framework of the China-Central and Eastern European Cooperation Mechanism and the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, which will be marked next year.

This was stated at the conference entitled “Seizing Development Opportunities and Realizing Common Interests – A Review of China-BiH Relations in 2024 and Prospects” by Miao Dake, Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in BiH.

Miao stated that this cooperation between the two countries would further bring the peoples of China and BiH closer together and be of even greater benefit to them, and would also be beneficial globally, and would advance the common welfare of all mankind.

The conference held in Sarajevo as part of the “Coffee and Tea” forum brought together around 60 participants from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the General Director of the Information and Liaison Office of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Hu Zhaoming, also addressed the attendees.

He told the attendees that China continues to effectively strive for higher-quality economic growth with a corresponding increase in economic output. He emphasized that China will strengthen economic cooperation with other countries in order to promote global economic development.

During the forum, attendees had the opportunity to hear the experiences of the panelists about their recent stay in China, from the participation of primary and secondary school students and university students from Bosnia and Herzegovina in the final competitions in the “Chinese Bridge” – a world competition in Chinese language proficiency, to the experiences they bring from participating in the World Chinese Language Congress, to the dialogue that the Communist Party of China has with political parties in Central and Eastern Europe.

The attendees also learned about how China cooperates with young leaders from our country, and finally what it looked like from the perspective of the journalistic profession at the World Media Summit in Urumqi, the capital of the Chinese autonomous region of Xinjiang, the Bosnian-Chinese Friendship Association announced.

This was the tenth “Coffee and Tea” forum, which the Bosnian-Chinese Friendship Association is organizing in cooperation with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Fena writes.
