BiH and Italy signed the Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan

Representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Italy in Sarajevo signed the Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Italy for the year 2023.

The bilateral military cooperation plan between BiH and Italy for this year includes 12 activities at different levels of the defense ministries and armed forces of the two countries.

In the House of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the delegation of the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina was led by the head of the Department for Bilateral and Multilateral Cooperation Senka Zeljaja, while the Italian side was headed by the Ambassador of the Republic of Italy to Bosnia and Herzegovina Marko di Ruzza, the head of the Department for International Cooperation of the Main Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Italy, Brigadier Matia Zuzi and the Italian military envoy to Bosnia and Herzegovina Brigadier Stefano Giribono.

After the signing of the plan for this year, the delegations held official bilateral talks at the expert level.

They discussed the training of cadets of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Republic of Italy, with an emphasis on flight training and training of air traffic controllers, and assistance in the training of helicopter pilots of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina on helicopters manufactured by “Bel”.

They also discussed equipping and training teams for search and rescue, as well as training personnel in criminal tactics and techniques, which are carried out in investigative procedures.
