The Director of the Agency for the Promotion of Foreign Investments of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FIPA) Marko Kubatlija and the President of the Board of Directors of the General Administration for the Promotion of Investments and Privatization of the State of Libya Abduelaziz Ramadan Eshawish signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

In this way, the cooperation between the two institutions in the field of investment promotion and strengthening of bilateral economic relations was formalized.

With this document, the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Libya confirm their mutual will to improve institutional cooperation, exchange information on investment opportunities and provide support to businessmen and potential investors, all with the aim of strengthening economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.

The memorandum also includes the exchange of information and analysis on the investment environment, projects and market opportunities, the organization of joint investment and business conferences, as a platform for direct communication between investors and facilitating contacts and cooperation between business entities from BiH and Libya.

FIPA Director Marko Kubatlija pointed out that the signing of the Memorandum represents an important step towards strengthening bilateral economic cooperation and positioning Bosnia and Herzegovina as an attractive destination for foreign investors.
He also emphasized the willingness of the Agency to continuously develop cooperation through specific projects and activities that contribute to the creation of a favorable investment environment.

The Libyan delegation expressed interest in the active involvement of businessmen in joint projects and support for investments in key sectors. This document created a solid institutional basis for long-term investment and economic ties between BiH and Libya.
The meeting was also attended by the consul of the Embassy of Libya in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Akram Khaled, who spoke about how Bosnia and Herzegovina and Libya have traditionally had good and friendly relations, the cooperation so far, the help that Libya provided to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and others.

The interlocutors assessed that such meetings represent a good basis for the further development of bilateral economic relations, and expressed their willingness to continue communication and concretize cooperation through future joint activities, Klix.ba writes.
