BiH and Montenegro share a common Vision of a European Future

The Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Borjana Krišto, and the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, who is on a two-day official visit to our country, emphasized that BiH and Montenegro share a common vision of a European future.

During the meeting in Sarajevo, Krišto and Milatović pointed out the importance of further strengthening political dialogue, continuous cooperation and mutual support in European processes, the Council of Ministers of BiH announced.

Krišto expressed her satisfaction with the visit of the President of Montenegro, emphasizing that this further strengthens the capacities for effectively addressing the challenges we face.

In addition to joint projects of economic and trade cooperation, special emphasis was placed on transport connectivity and accelerating the dynamics in this area.

The Montenegrin President was welcomed in Sarajevo earlier today with the highest state and military honors. This was followed by a meeting with members of the Presidency of BiH Denis Bećirović, Željka Cvijanović and Željko Komšić, followed by a bilateral meeting of delegations of the two countries.

Milatović said that his visit to the capital of BiH is a sign of the continuity of friendly relations between the two countries.

As previously announced, the Montenegrin president will also meet with members of the collegium of both houses of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Dragan Čović and Nebojša Radmanović.

In the afternoon, a Business Forum and b2b meetings Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro will be held, organized by the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH, in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro. Addresses by Bećirović and Milatović are scheduled as part of the plenary part of the event.

Milatović’s official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina is the third in the region, after Serbia and Croatia.
