The fire at the Šušnjari location, Grude municipality, is still active, and a helicopter of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Air Tratcor 802 helped in extinguishing the fire this morning.

“Professional fire departments from Ljubuški, Grude, Široki Brijeg and Posušje are participating in extinguishing the fire. Help has arrived from the Croatian National Fire Service, and members of volunteer fire departments from the West Herzegovina Canton have joined the firefighters,” the Civil Protection Administration of the West Herzegovina Canton confirmed to Fena news agency on Thursday.

Residential buildings are currently not at risk.

Let us recall that a large fire broke out between Grude and Posušje on Tuesday afternoon, which spread and engulfed forest and low vegetation in difficult-to-access terrain.
