Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Deputy Chair of the BiH Council of Ministers, Zukan Helez, will today send a proposal to the Presidency of BiH for the adoption of a decision on the urgent deployment of specialist teams of the Armed Forces of BiH to the Republic of Turkey, which was hit by catastrophic earthquakes.

The Armed Forces of BiH are ready to send a medical team to Turkey, an engineer battalion team trained for such situations, as well as a rescue team for accidents and natural disasters.

The decision would specify the exact number of members of the Armed Forces of BiH who would be sent to assist the Republic of Turkey, in such a way that their departure would not negatively affect the normal functioning of the Armed Forces of BiH.

Helez expects that the highest bodies of the executive power of Bosnia and Herzegovina will decide unanimously to send aid to this friendly country. The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina can make an urgent decision during a telephone session, announced the Press Service of the BiH Ministry of Defense.
