Regarding allegations by certain media outlets that the Central Investigation Office of the BiH Border Police “is in the middle of a scandal due to investigations related to the Sky application”, the director of the BiH Border Police, Zoran Galić, said a statement to FENA that the police agency is consistently and continuously fighting against crime and corruption in their own ranks and that someone is “obviously creating a sensation out of nothing”.

“Untrue and unverified information appeared in certain media. Someone is obviously creating a sensation out of nothing,” said Galić.

He also asserted that, according to his knowledge, the BiH BP officer Spomenka Markulj is not mentioned anywhere in the Sky application.

Galić notes that the aforementioned case is under the jurisdiction of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Office for Professional Standards and Internal Control of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina is conducting an internal investigation.

“Regarding other police officers and allegations, I support the work of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and the team formed by the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH (Border Police and SIPA) in order to conduct the investigation in this case.

The mentioned police officers of the BiH BP have been temporarily transferred internally until the investigation into the case is completed,” said the director of the BiH BP Zoran Galić.
