A group of citizens gathered around the organization Restart Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) announced the organization of peaceful protests on Monday that will take place in front of the Office of the High Representative (OHR) in Sarajevo, and the reason for that is the current political and security situation in BiH.

As announced, the protests that will be organized at 10 a.m. will be an opportunity for citizens to ask HR why he is not doing a job for which he is well paid, and which refers to the protection of the constitutional and legal order of BiH.

“We are witnessing arrogant, unscrupulous, pretentious, and socially dangerous politicians, who create fear, spread hatred and uncertainty among citizens. They do not respect but attack state institutions, endanger peace and security, as well as the future of all people in BiH while destroying all social and democratic processes achieved in BiH after Dayton, ” citizens stressed.

They emphasized that they demand that Schmidt, in coordination with the European Union (EU) and the United States (U.S.) act decisively and urgently to resolve the crisis in BiH.

“He should take on the responsibilities and duties it has under its mandate, and use all OHR mechanisms to address current and future crises, including the Bonn powers and bans on political actors in BiH. We call on parents, students, workers, pensioners, intellectuals, all the citizens of Sarajevo and BiH to go out to protest, to demand an urgent reaction from the OHR and the HRin order to preserve peace, society, for our future, and to preserve European civilization and security,” it was noted.

Restart also called on civic activists, NGOs, as well as politically active people to join the protests on the condition that they do not wear party symbols.

“The protests have been announced and reported to the Novo Sarajevo Ministry of the Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Health, and the CS Crisis Staff, as well as the Ministry of Transport. Traffic will be suspended in front of the OHR from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Let’s go in the streets and express our position with dignity in peace, that is, we ask those who have to act according to the Constitution, that they do something, all with the aim of protecting our BiH, ” said protest organizers Sejda Cavcic and Suad Djozic.
