The Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Borjana Krišto, received the Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus, Israel, Kazakhstan and Malta, Elisabeth Vitzthum, on an inaugural visit.

Chairperson Krišto extended a warm welcome and expressed her satisfaction with the continuation of the successful cooperation that has traditionally existed between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the EBRD.

She emphasized that the partnership is particularly important in the areas of the electricity sector, transport infrastructure and within the framework of the green agenda.

She particularly emphasized the importance of the EBRD’s support in preparing the application for funds from the Solidarity Fund, submitted to repair the damage caused by the catastrophic floods that hit BiH in early October last year.

In addition, the importance and significance of continuing the construction of Corridor Vc, as key for connecting Bosnia and Herzegovina to the regional infrastructure, was particularly emphasized.

Krišto and Vitzthum expressed mutual readiness for further intensive cooperation and strengthening of partnership relations in the future period, the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.
