BiH Council of Ministers on Employment, Public Finances, Defense and Public Administration Reform

At today’s session in Sarajevo, the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina should consider several points in the fields of employment, public finances, defense, justice, European integration, civil affairs and international cooperation.

On the proposed agenda is the Proposal for a Decision on the adoption of the Plan on Labor Market Policy Guidelines and Active Employment Measures in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the year 2026, as well as the Proposal for a Decision on Amendments to the Decision on the Method of Taking Public and Professional Examinations.

The Ministers should also consider the Proposal for the Decision on approving funds from the current budget reserve to the City of Mostar, the Proposal for the Decision on repeating the quantities of tariff quotas in 2026 for the import of raw sugar from sugar cane for refining.

At the session, there will also be a proposal for a decision on determining the amount of the base for salary calculation in diplomatic and consular missions (DKP) of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2026.

Also on the agenda are draft decisions on the ratification of the Formal Agreement on the accession of BiH to the Academy of European Law in Trier, and the Agreement on cooperation in the field of defense between the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Consideration of Information on problems in the functioning of the Coordination for Interoperability of the BiH Council of Ministers, as well as Information on the ninth meeting of the Special Group for Public Administration Reform held between the European Union and Bosnia and Herzegovina, is also planned.

In the field of defense, ministers should consider the Information on the implementation of the Implementation Plan Review of Defense and Action Plan Implementation Plan for the Development and Modernization of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina 2017 – 2027.

The proposed agenda also includes information from the Ministry of Finance and the Treasury of BiH regarding the expenditure of funds in 2025 for projects included in the Public Investment Program/Development-Investment Program of the Institutions of BiH 2025 – 2027, the extension of the Strategy for the Improvement of Public Finance Management in the Institutions of BiH, and the distribution and use of current reserve funds for the period January – March 2026.

The Council of Ministers of BiH should also consider the Report on free legal aid for 2025, the Report on the work of the Commission for Refugees and Displaced Persons of BiH for 2025, as well as the opinion with the tender documentation for the appointment of the deputy director of the Archives of BiH.
