Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Minister of Defense Zukan Helez refused to give permission for the landing of a Hungarian military plane at Banja Luka Airport, in which Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó was to arrive.
– I refused to give permission for the landing of a Hungarian military plane at Banja Luka Airport, in which Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó was to arrive. For years, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Minister Szijjártó have been openly supporting the former president of the administrative part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, RS, Milorad Dodik, in his actions that undermine the sovereignty, territorial integrity and unity of Bosnia and Herzegovina – Helez announced.
He stated that the Hungarian side had not provided any clear explanation as to why the Minister of Foreign Affairs was arriving on a military plane.
– As the Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it is my duty to protect the constitutional order, laws and interests of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Therefore, I have decided not to approve this flight, until full transparency and respect for our state are ensured – Helez said.
