As part of rich and very active international cooperation, the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, signed as many as four bilateral military cooperation plans in one day.

BiH Assistant Minister of Defense for International Cooperation Zoran Šajinović signed individual plans of joint activities for the coming year with the Association of Military-Diplomatic Representatives accredited in BiH and the military envoys of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the French Republic and the Republic of Poland.

The annual cooperation plan between the BiH MoD and the Association of Military Diplomatic Representatives was signed by the doyen of the military-diplomatic corps in BiH, the Romanian military envoy Brigadier Robertino-Christian Ciobanu, in the presence of the military envoys of the United States of America, the United Kingdom, the Slovak Republic, the Republic of Poland and the Republic of Serbia, as well as the assistant of the military ambassador of the Republic of Austria.

“Our excellent cooperation from the past years continues this year as well. And this year’s plan enables us to make the best use of the cooperation between the armed forces of our countries and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said Brigadier Ciobanu.

On behalf of the UK Ministry of Defence, the bilateral cooperation plan was signed by Colonel Edward Taylor. The plan includes 72 joint activities in BiH and the United Kingdom, which confirms the significant engagement of the UK MoD in supporting the Euro-Atlantic integration of BiH.

The non-resident military envoy of the French Republic, Brigadier Pierre Desjeux, signed the plan on behalf of the French Ministry of Defense. On that occasion, Assistant Minister Šajinović emphasized the importance of France in contemporary international relations, aimed at peace and stability.

On behalf of the Polish Ministry of Defense, the plan of bilateral military cooperation for this year was signed by the non-resident military envoy of the Republic of Poland, the captain of the battleship Zbigniew Romanowski. Šajinović emphasized that the importance of Poland in Euro-Atlantic relations is visibly growing and that mutual cooperation will be of great value to the MoD and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
