BiH FM: BiH institutionally resists any kind of fabricated Lies

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, said today that the extraordinary session of the United Nations (UN) Security Council at which BiH was discussed last night was very important, and that in the end it turned out to be a good thing that it happened, “because once illuminated by the entire Russian-Serbian machinery that works very synchronously”.

According to him, it fully shed light on several political factors, “first of all, Aleksandar Vučić and his policy, which is only verbally European, and everything he does does not have any European and civilizational standards.”

“Secondly, it seems to me that for Bosnia and Herzegovina, for its integrity, sovereignty and for what we stand for, it is all the better that Željka Cvijanović shows herself more in public and tries to lie to the international public in an unskillful and unwise way, I can say freely facts that absolutely do not exist. You saw the reaction of the entire free world, especially this western part, on which BiH and its economy, formally, we can say, depend,” Konaković told Fena news agency.

He added that several very important factors actually happened.

“You have seen lies, it seems to me that the future Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Marko Đurić, who is talking about it, is falsely quoting my statements talking about war damage. I was just saying the opposite, that the resolution does not produce legal facts that can lead us to collect war damage, that this is done in other processes,” Konaković said.

He stated that Serbia like this deserves it, but it cannot be linked to this resolution on Srebrenica.

“Zeljka Cvijanović’s attempt to discredit the high representative in a body that has already stated its position, and Antonio Guterres responded to Željka Cvijanović’s allegations from the letter that I said she should not send, that he is a completely legal, legitimate high representative. He very calmly and subtly explained the essence of the problem in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and we come again to the conclusion that Milorad Dodik and Željka Cvijanović and Staša Košarac and some other politicians from Republika Srpska care more about the Russian and less about the Serbian people in BiH,” said the head of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s diplomacy.

According to him, it has been shown once again that the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina are now finally doing their job adequately and in the right way.

He pointed out that the performance of BiH Ambassador Zlatko Lagumdžija was “very authoritative, argumentative, with a lot of facts and figures”.

“Last night, he completely dismantled that Russian-Serbian propaganda attempt to actually create a new focal point here, which is certainly Russia’s basic intention. Because last night, Russia may have partially achieved its goal, which is to talk less about its aggression against Ukraine , and that some new hotspots are opening up, in this case in the Western Balkans. Cvijanović, Dodik and Vučić and Đurić and all those who last night, we can safely say, experienced a debacle, because institutionally BiH resists any kind of fabricated lies,” Minister Konaković concluded.
