BiH FM met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Elmedin Konaković is participating in the Munich Security Conference today and tomorrow. He met this morning with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, Annalena Baerbock on the sidelines of the conference.

On that occasion, Minister Konaković emphasized the long-term successful institutional cooperation between these two countries and emphasized that he sees Germany as one of the main advocates of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Europe.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Baerbock, welcomed the candidate status that BiH received, and pointed out the necessity of carrying out reform processes, in the context of the implementation of 14 key priorities from the Opinion of the European Commission.

There was also talk about development cooperation between Germany and Bosnia and Herzegovina, where the readiness of both sides to continue working on its improvement was expressed, considering that Germany is one of the most important foreign trade partners of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Defense and security were also mentioned as important topics on which it is necessary to continue to cooperate.

A greater presence of Germany in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as in the Balkans, and unquestionable support for the European path of our country was also announced, stated the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
