The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Elmedin Konakovic, had a telephone conversation yesterday with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Faisal Bin Farhan Al-Saud, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH announced.

Konakovic informed the Saudi minister about the current anti-Dayton and unconstitutional activities being carried out by the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska (RS), as well as the efforts that the institutions of BiH are making to prevent such activities and preserve the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country.

Saudi Minister Al-Saud expressed unequivocal support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of BiH, as well as for regional peace and stability. He emphasized Saudi Arabia’s continuous and strong support for BiH and announced lobbying and support in international circles for the preservation of peace and stability in BiH.

The interlocutors agreed that there are good bilateral relations between the two countries, and Minister Konakovic highlighted the importance of further strengthening economic ties. Special attention was given to this year’s Sarajevo Business Forum, where a large Saudi delegation, led by the Minister of Trade of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Majid Al Qasabi, will participate.

Additionally, Minister Al-Saud announced an official visit to BiH in the near future, which will further strengthen friendly and business relations between the two countries, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH stated.
