The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, is in Strasbourg, where he will meet with officials of the European Union, in order to discuss with them the progress of our country on its way to the EU.
Konaković will meet with representatives of the European Commission and the European Parliament to present the progress that BiH has achieved before finalizing the Enlargement Package, which the European Commission will prepare as a communication to the European Parliament and the Council, and to advocate for the EU’s decision for the further progress of BiH to the EU. way, preferably through the adoption of a decision on the opening of accession negotiations.
On the sidelines of the plenary session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH today met with members of the European Parliament, Romeo Franz, chairman of the Delegation of the European Parliament for BiH, and Reinhard Butikofer, coordinator of the Green political group for the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee.
Konaković thanked the MEPs for their continued strong support to Bosnia and Herzegovina in the process of European integration. He informed about the progress of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the process of European integration in the past months, with special emphasis on the recently adopted five laws.
Opinions were exchanged about the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The interlocutors emphasized the importance of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s commitment to the EU path, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.
