BiH has requested international Assistance to rehabilitate the Consequences of catastrophic Floods

Yesterday, the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) sent a request through the Mechanism for Civil Protection of the European Union (EU) for international assistance in remediating the consequences of floods and landslides that affected several municipalities in BiH.

The request was sent after the Federation of BiH (FBiH)Government made a decision that, due to the extent of the floods, international assistance is needed in the remediation of the consequences and submitted a list of the most necessary equipment and resources.

”The Ministry of Security of BiH is in constant contact with the representatives of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism in Brussels, in order to prepare for the aid that will be sent to BiHto reach the residents and municipalities that need it most at the moment.

BiH Minister of Security, Nenad Nesic, said that the Ministry will continue to monitor the situation on the ground and coordinate the provision of assistance in areas affected by floods,” it was announced.

These are the numbers you can call for help:

Caritas’ unique number for help is 17764, and by calling it you donate 2 BAM.

The Pomozi.ba donation number is 17039, and by calling you donate 2BAM.

17023 is the number to which you can donate to the Red Cross of BiH.

By calling the number 17081, you donate 2 BAM to Merhamet, who will donate to the most vulnerable.

The Red Cross in FBiH also opened a humanitarian number 17023, and they state that payments can also be made to a dedicated account 1340011130004680 – ASA Banka d.d. Sarajevo.
