The proposal by SDA and DF deputies to dismiss the Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH, Elmedin Konaković, is the only item on the agenda of the urgent session of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH scheduled for Thursday, February 20.
The proposal to reconstruct the Council of Ministers by dismissing Konaković was signed by 11 deputies from these two parties.
The explanation of the proposal to dismiss the Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH states that “the published correspondence from the “Sky” application indicates Konaković’s connection with the global drug cartel “Tito and Dino”, that he participated in the illegal extension of the mandate of the acting agent of the Council of Ministers before the European Court of Human Rights, and that he also bears responsibility for the cancellation of the Summit of Western Balkans and EU leaders, which was supposed to be held in December in Neum”.
SNSD and Serbian caucus members had previously announced that they would not attend sessions of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH until a Serbian representative was elected to the Collegium of this house.
In accordance with this decision, members of these two caucuses did not attend the emergency session of the House of Representatives, on the agenda of which was their request for Konaković’s dismissal, which was not supported in the first round of voting.
Speaker of the House of Representatives Denis Zvizdić said that regular sessions of this house would not be scheduled until the position of the Serbian member of the Collegium is filled.
The start of the emergency session is scheduled for 12:00.
