Shares of the company BNT – Factory of Machines and Hydraulics Novi Travnik (BNT-TMiH) jumped on Monday by as much as 49.83 percent.

This strong growth comes after the company’s shares had already recorded a significant rise at the beginning of the month of around 26 percent, when the price increased from 15.8 to 20 BAM. This increased the company’s market value in just one day by around seven million BAM, from approximately 26 million to nearly 33 million BAM.

With the price jump from two days ago, the company’s market value increased by more than 16 million BAM and now amounts to around 49.2 million BAM. This means that the company’s value has almost doubled in December of this year.

For comparison, BNT has thus reached almost half of the market value of the company Igman, which currently has a capitalization of around 100 million BAM. This is an exceptional success for the company from Novi Travnik, which is increasingly profiling itself as a new star of the defense industry – at least on the stock exchange.

Leader in the production of sophisticated combat systems

BNT-TMiH is a defense industry company known for top-level production of systems in the field of defense. Its core activity includes the production of mortars, howitzers, hand-held launchers, recoilless guns, tank and aircraft cannons, as well as other sophisticated combat systems.

Entry into the strategic drone industry

The company recently officially announced that it is expanding its production program to unmanned aerial vehicles – single-use and reusable drones with payload-carrying capacity, developed exclusively with domestic knowledge and resources.

On that occasion, the Federal Minister of Energy, Mining, and Industry Vedran Lakic emphasized the strategic importance of launching drone production, stating that it is a “historic feat and the result of intensive work over the past year and a half.”

With this technological step forward, BNT-TMiH further confirms its position as a carrier of innovation and national security, while Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) enters the circle of countries capable of developing and producing advanced unmanned systems.

The company’s director, Besim Belegic, previously stated that launching drone production would enable the employment of at least 50 new workers, as well as a significant increase in revenues.

Best financial result since the end of the war

In the first half of the year, BNT-TMiH achieved revenues of 21.4 million BAM, which represents strong growth compared to 17.8 million BAM in the same period last year, and at the same time, the best business result since the end of the war.

The company’s profit increased to around 2.3 million BAM, compared to 1.3 million BAM a year earlier.

Business deals in Egypt

At the beginning of this month, Director Belegic stayed in Egypt, at the defense industry fair EDEX 2025, where he attended a meeting of the Federation of BiH (FBiH) defense industry delegation, led by Minister Lakic, with Egypt’s State Minister for Military Production, Mohamed Salah el-Din Mostafa.

On that occasion, concrete activities of great importance for BNT-TMiH were agreed upon.

“In addition, on the sidelines of the fair, I held several meetings with existing as well as new business partners. I can say that we also agreed on concrete deals, and the signing of contracts will take place in the coming days,” Belegic announced on December 3rd, Biznis Info writes.
