BiH Minister of Security Warned on The Implementation of ‘’Sejdić-Finci

The “Sejdić-Finci” judgement has to be implemented, otherwise we will exclude ourselves from the door of European entry, warned the BiH Minister of Security Fahrudin Radončić on the ‘’Telering’’ show.

As a guest speaker on the TV show ‘’Telering’’, he said that it appears BiH authorities have no interest in addressing this issue.

‘’The question of the judgment is more complicated than it appears, and its implementation has been reduced to daily politics’’, said Radončić.

He commented on finding solutions for the election of members of the BiH Presidency, and the differing views on this issue.

It is not uncommon for members of the Presidency to be chosen by the Parliament, he added, and we have previously had that practice.

‘’The problem could arise if elected RS members choose the member, and for months in the FBiH we cannot agree. This is why it is best to find the same way of electing a member of the Presidency’’, said Radončić.

If this year there is no credible application for EU membership, BiH has much to lose’’, he said.

When it comes to the possibility of eliminating the vise-free regime in BiH, Radončić stressed that BiH takes all that is necessary to reduce the number of asylum seekers and to preserve visa-free travel.

‘’It is not such a large number, around 2,000, but it must be further reduced’’, he said.
